WordPress Astra Theme Developer Needed

I own ParPractical.com, a growing golf affiliate website with approximately 50 published articles. I am looking for an experienced WordPress developer to improve the homepage, navigation, content organization, affiliate tracking and several technical issues. I have attached an approved homepage mockup created specifically for Par Practical. I want the new homepage closely based on this design. The mockup must be recreated as a functional, responsive WordPress page—not uploaded as one large image. All text, buttons, navigation and article cards must remain editable and clickable. The website currently uses the Astra theme. I do not want to replace the theme unless there is a compelling technical reason that is explained and approved in advance. ## Main Project Requirements ### 1. Static Homepage Convert the current chronological article-feed homepage into a designed static homepage based closely on the attached mockup. The homepage should include: * Hero section * New to Golf? * Best Golf Gear * Gear Reviews and Comparisons * Latest Articles * About Par Practical * Golf Deals The Latest Articles section should update automatically. Other featured cards should be easy for me to change without editing code. Some article titles and images in the mockup are placeholders. They must be replaced with existing Par Practical articles and approved images while preserving the overall layout and appearance. ### 2. Separate Articles Page Create an Articles or Blog page that retains the complete chronological post feed. ### 3. Simplified Navigation Reorganize the main navigation around: * Best Golf Gear * Gear Reviews * Golf Tips * Golf Deals * About Keep dropdown menus simple and useful. Remove Start Here and The PRO SHOP from the navigation without deleting their pages or changing their URLs. ### 4. Gear Reviews Landing Page The current Gear Reviews page is underdeveloped. Turn it into an organized, mobile-friendly landing page featuring existing reviews and comparisons. ### 5. Reusable Affiliate CTA Create a reusable, mobile-friendly Amazon affiliate CTA block or button design. I need to be able to reuse and edit it myself. Do not manually display Amazon prices or implement anything that conflicts with Amazon Associates requirements. ### 6. Affiliate-Click Tracking Configure and test outbound Amazon-click tracking using GA4, Google Tag Manager or another appropriate method. Tracking should identify: * Source page * Link or button clicked * Destination domain * Total affiliate clicks Provide instructions showing me where to view this data. ### 7. Internal Linking Identify and implement relevant internal links between informational articles and closely related product reviews or buying guides. Provide a proposed internal-link plan before implementation and a final list after completion. ### 8. Indexing and Sitemap Check Perform a basic technical review to confirm: * Important pages are indexable * Canonical tags are correct * The XML sitemap contains appropriate URLs * Feeds, search pages and technical files are not being submitted through the sitemap * The new homepage and Articles page use correct canonical and indexing settings This is a basic technical check, not a request for an ongoing SEO campaign. ### 9. 404 and Broken-Link Cleanup Google Search Console currently reports 17 missing URLs. The freelancer must: * Review the reported URLs * Locate internal links pointing to them * Correct broken internal links * Recommend appropriate redirect destinations * Avoid redirecting unrelated URLs to the homepage * Obtain approval before creating redirects * Provide a final list of corrected links and redirects ## Important Restrictions * Keep the Astra theme * Do not change existing article URLs without approval * Do not delete pages without approval * Do not change keywords, SEO titles or meta descriptions in bulk * Do not rewrite existing articles * Do not purchase or create backlinks * Do not publish AI-generated content * Do not install unnecessary plugins * Do not change robots.txt or indexing settings without approval * Do not guarantee Google rankings, traffic or affiliate sales * Back up the website before making changes * Complete major work on staging * Obtain approval before publishing the new homepage * Test all work on desktop and mobile One existing article generates most of the website’s Google traffic.
