WordPress Production & Junior Front-End Specialist | Beaver Builder + HTML/CSS We are a digital agency looking for a reliable WordPress Production & Junior Front-End Specialist** to help us complete ongoing website updates across multiple client websites. This is not a full development role, but it is also beyond basic virtual assistant or data-entry work. We need someone who is comfortable working independently inside WordPress, has strong attention to detail, understands front-end code, and can take a clearly documented website request from start to finish. The immediate work will primarily involve routine website updates and production tasks. Over time, there is an opportunity to grow into more advanced front-end work, AI-assisted website production, GitHub workflows, and reusable website component development. Typical Responsibilities You may be asked to: * Replace and update website images * Add or edit text, buttons, links, and page content * Make updates within Beaver Builder and other WordPress page builders * Create new pages using existing layouts and styles * Add or update team members, services, locations, FAQs, events, and similar content * Update navigation menus and internal links * Optimize, resize, rename, and organize images before uploading * Maintain visual consistency when making changes * Make basic HTML and CSS adjustments * Fix responsive spacing or layout issues * Check pages across desktop, tablet, and mobile * Identify broken links, formatting problems, or obvious website issues * Complete basic WordPress maintenance and content updates * QA your own work before marking a task complete * Clearly identify when an issue should be escalated to a developer rather than guessing For example, you may receive a request to replace older photography throughout a website using a new folder of professional images while intentionally keeping several existing seasonal images. We would expect you to review the current website, select appropriate replacements, optimize and upload the new images, preserve the requested existing photos, update the relevant pages, and QA the finished work across screen sizes. What We Are Looking For You should have: * Hands-on WordPress experience * Experience with Beaver Builder or another professional WordPress page builder * Strong attention to detail * Solid HTML and CSS skills * An understanding of responsive/mobile styling * Enough visual judgment to recognize poor spacing, inconsistent image choices, alignment issues, or formatting problems * Comfort working from written instructions, screenshots, and client requests * The ability to troubleshoot straightforward front-end problems * Good judgment about what you can safely complete versus what should be escalated * Reliable communication * The ability to work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy You do not need to be a senior developer. We are looking for someone who understands websites well enough to make thoughtful changes independently and who has the technical foundation to continue growing. Technical Skills Strong experience with the following is preferred: * WordPress * Beaver Builder * HTML * CSS * Responsive web design * Browser developer tools * Image optimization Basic familiarity with the following is highly valued: * Git and GitHub * JavaScript * WordPress child themes * Staging environments * SiteGround * SFTP or SSH * PHP fundamentals * ACF * WordPress template files * GitHub pull requests Advanced development experience is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with a strong foundation, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to learn. This Is Not a Senior Developer Position We already have developers for advanced work such as: * Custom application development * Complex PHP * Advanced JavaScript * API integrations * Database work * Server administration * Complex plugin development * Advanced debugging This role is intended to own the large middle category of website work that requires more technical knowledge than basic administrative support but does not require a senior developer. Knowing when to escalate something is just as important as knowing how to complete it. Paid Trial We will begin with a small paid WordPress production trial. The trial will include several representative website updates, such as: * Replacing selected images * Updating page content * Changing a link or button * Making a small formatting adjustment * Correcting a responsive/mobile issue * Reviewing the completed work for accuracy We will evaluate: * Accuracy * Attention to detail * WordPress proficiency * HTML/CSS ability * Visual judgment * Responsive QA * Efficiency * Ability to follow instructions * Communication * Ability to work independently * Judgment about when to escalate Strong performance can lead to consistent ongoing work across multiple client websites. Ongoing Work Hours will vary based on client requests. We will begin with a small workload and increase available hours and responsibility based on performance. This is intended to be a long-term freelance relationship for the right person, with the opportunity to take on increasingly technical front-end and website production responsibilities over time.
