Medusa.js v2 Deployment Specialist — OVHcloud VPS

We are looking for an experienced Medusa.js v2 developer / DevOps engineer to deploy a secure, production-ready e-commerce backend on our existing OVHcloud VPS. Project background We already have a custom e-commerce frontend built with Cloudflare Workers. We only need the Medusa backend infrastructure installed, configured, secured and tested. Server specifications OVHcloud VPS hosted in Frankfurt, Germany Ubuntu 24.04 LTS 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 75 GB NVMe SSH key access available Scope of work Resolve an existing Ubuntu account/password expiration issue. The VPS is currently in rescue mode. Secure the server, including SSH access, firewall configuration and operating system updates. Deploy the latest stable Medusa.js v2 release. Install and configure PostgreSQL and Redis. Configure separate Medusa API and background worker processes. Set up a maintainable Docker Compose deployment with persistent storage. Configure HTTPS using a reverse proxy. Secure Medusa Admin access and prevent public access to PostgreSQL and Redis. Configure automatic service restarts and basic health monitoring. Set up automated database backups and demonstrate a successful restore. Verify the API and Admin are working correctly. Provide deployment documentation, configuration files and a complete handover. Important requirements No storefront development is required. No website redesign or frontend development is required. No product migration is required. Our existing Cloudflare Workers frontend must remain untouched. The infrastructure should support future integration with Mollie payments. All configuration files and deployment scripts must remain under our ownership. No unnecessary paid third-party services or vendor lock-in. Use secure, maintainable production practices. Deliverables A working Medusa v2 backend and Admin panel, secured and running on our VPS, including database, Redis, HTTPS, backups, deployment configuration and documentation. Budget: $200 fixed price We are open to reasonable proposals from candidates with proven Medusa v2 experience.
